An experienced dentist with extensive training in areas ranging from pediatric dentistry to endodontics, Dr. Laura Larkin Watson serves clients in Rochester, New York. Also a full-time mom to three kids, Dr. Laura Larkin Watson enjoys taking her family each summer to spend time at Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes.
Known for being the nation's only lake flowing both south and north, Keuka Lake covers 11,584 acres, with a width of 1.9 miles and length of 19.6 miles. The lake's name comes from an Iroquois word that means “canoe landing,” but it has also earned nicknames such as “the Crooked Lake” because of its shape like the letter "y," and “Lady of the Lakes” for its beauty.
Keuka Lake has plenty of shallow water warm enough for swimming comfortably throughout the summer, and also offers excellent boating. Around the lake grow numerous vineyards, providing a picturesque setting and plenty of opportunities to visit wineries, including the first bonded winery, dating back to 1860.
Along the west branch of the lake lies Keuka Lake State Park, which has its own boat launch and docks. It also boasts campsites and hiking trails to explore.
